Kids fun stretch and relax….
For this exercise we use our imaginations, pretending we are trees and have balloons in our tummies!
Stand in relaxed forward bend. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth a few times then.. Now imagine there’s a balloon in your tummy; Take a deep breathe in and as you breath out, begin to blow up like a balloon with each breath, little by little until you’re as tall as a tree. Now stretch out your arms like the branches of a tree. Sway in the wind. Take another deep breath in and… Burst the balloon in your tummy –pop! Like a balloon. Flop down to the floor …Take deep breath in/out and sit down and relax
Trees and plants do the opposite, they absorb carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a Colourless and odourless gas produced during breathing and used by plants during photosynthesis and producing oxygen. Oxygen is essential for breathing; it is also an odourless, colourless gas. Which is why, our forest are very important to our planet. Breathing deeply and freely will help to keep you relaxed and healthy,
